Volunteers Needed
Our organization exists only because of the many volunteers who give their time and energy to make us a success. Please call our hotline (364-1666), contact the board members listed below or visit the volunteer station the first week of practice.
Here are some of our current opportunities:
Concessions Director - Help the Concessions Director run the café. They are a fun bunch to work with and you'll have a great time. Andrew's making even more wonderful improvements for the 2007 season!

Coach - We are always looking for these special people who care so deeply about making a difference in the lives of children. If you are interested in coaching or assistant coaching our football players or cheerleaders, lets get together and talk about TYFA's mission and values.

Team Parents - These special parents are a communication link between TYFA coaches and player parents. They assist with fund raising, disperse information and ...

Team Manager - A new position we've added for 2004. This parent can help his or her child's football team get to the game with all necessities, like water bottles, first aid kit, extra mouthpieces, etc. You can also help with uniform and helmet issues so the coach can stay on the practice field. You can also assist with keeping statistics for the team. Could be lots of fun!contact: football_director@gotomahawks.org
Team Reporter - Have you ever dreamed of being a sports writer? Well here is your opportunity. The team reporter helps us publish our newsletter by providing game highlights. If you own a computer, typewriter or a pen,
you too can be a team reporter.

Chain Crew - As a Chain crew member you will have the best seat in the house for your child's game. Counting to 10 is a requirement but not necessary. If you can take orders from the man in the black and white vertical stripe shirt this is the job for YOU!

Score Keepers/Time Clock Keepers - Enjoy the game from the announcer's box. A spectacular view of our home field - free of charge. A brief training session for certification will be provided.

Announcers - Another fun volunteer job Sometimes we need to give Vinny a break. If you can see jersey numbers from far away and enjoy seeing all the plays, give it a try! Kim, the Concession Director, is always good to the announcers with free refreshments at halftime.

Painters - Have you ever used paint by numbers, a paint brush or crayons? You might be the next Picasso! We need 4 groups of parents, one for each home game, to paint the field on Friday night. The county does the yard lines and end zones, we just need to do the numbers, Tomahawk logo in the center, and whatever you may suggest! Bring your creativity!

Special Events - You can volunteer for special one-time or sporadic activities such as our Raffles, Homecoming Day, The Tomahawk Jamm, Fund Raising, set up and clean up crews, etc...
